Built on a narrow lot in San Francisco’s South of Market, this six story residence is organized around a continuous sculptural stair that connects all six levels. Wrapped in white oak and lit from above, the stair anchors a home defined by material consistency and careful detailing, with custom stone, bronze, and millwork creating a quiet but richly crafted interior.

Perched on a hilltop in Carmel Valley, this residence was designed to feel embedded in the landscape and grounded in its specific site. Early collaboration with the clients shaped a home that balances permanence with openness, while careful study of sun, wind, and the tree canopy informed its placement. Framed views to the Pacific and deliberate openings through the forest create a strong connection to both the immediate landscape and the distant horizon.
